RID Lice Killing Shampoo
There have been many shampoos and chemicals developed over the years that claim that their product kills lice; this product is one of the oldest on the market and it works.
How to apply
- Protect Child’s Eyes —Use towels to protect child’s eyes from treatment and prevent clothes from getting wet.
- Apply RID® Lice Killing Shampoo —Apply thoroughly to DRY HAIR or other affected area. Wetting the hair dilutes the treatment making it less effective.
- See Usage Guidelines chart below to estimate how much product you will need.
- For head lice, first apply behind the ears and to the back of the neck. Lice can crawl up and down the shaft of the hair very quickly so it is important to apply the treatment from the roots to the ends of the hair.
- Let Set for 10 Minutes — Allow product to remain on the hair (or other affected area) for 10 minutes, but no longer.
- Wash Out — Use warm water to form a lather, shampoo, and then rinse thoroughly. After rinsing, you can now use a regular shampoo if you wish.
- Comb Out — Proceed to Step 2 – Remove: Comb out lice and eggs
- Repeat — A second treatment with RID® Lice Killing shampoo and combing must be done in 7 to 10 days to kill any newly hatched lice.
Reviews by consumers:
Let’s be honest, lice is awful but at some point someone in the family gets it. Especially littler kids. This stuff smells terrible and lice is kind of a pain to have to deal with in general. You put it on, wait. Wash it out, then comb your hair but from my experience it works.
I never knew what lice even looked like until a few days ago when my TWO YEAR OLD CHILD was scratching her head like crazy! I was furious at first, but then I calmed down and stepped into action! From washing all the bedding to treating all the kids’ heads! I went to Walmart looking for the best thing on the market, but ended up with this! Thus far I haven’t seen anymore from treating her the first time… But will check daily and treat again on Sunday.
